necruse asked: what this challenge you created?
That would be the Lady Knight Challenge. Speaking of which, I’ve got another randomizer in the works right now. Stay tuned!
jayemjee-art asked: 24? It's something I have a problem with.
24. Do you feel jealous when you see other people’s art, or inspired?
I think this question is a bit too black and white. I definitely have my reservations and insecurities about my work as a whole, and sometimes I’ll see a piece that makes me question my own competence, especially if I think it’s something that I ought to be able to accomplish by now but haven’t. But other times I’ll see a piece that’s so well done that it makes me want to try and reach for it myself. I’d say most pieces make me feel a bit of both.
dreamdinosaurs asked: 6 and 25!
6. What’s your least favorite thing to draw?
Pretty subjective, but I hate drawing things that aren’t visually interesting or well designed. Something that doesn’t stimulate the mind becomes a chore to illustrate.
25. Do you like to draw in silence, or with music?
Definitely with music! If things are too quiet I get nervous. I kinda need some background noise to focus, or a movie or something.
tyrunter asked: 1 and 29
1. Do you prefer traditional drawing, or digital?
I used to be super into traditional work, but these days I work almost exclusively digitally, with traditional media only when sketching. I definitely prefer Digital, mostly for it’s convenience and flexibility.
29. For traditional artists: How do you usually start on a big piece?
Normally I’ll start with a light pencil sketch with hard lead, before moving on with softer lead pencils for line weights and detailing.
salvatriss asked: What is the most difficult thing for you to draw?
The hardest thing? Hmm… I’d say there’s a fair bit that I have trouble drawing, but it’s probably a toss-up between foliage and creatures. I can never get an animal picture to look right…
